The 6 sections of the salon are:

  1. Monochrome Prints (PSA-PPD)
  2. Colour Prints (PSA-PPD)
  3. Nature Prints (colour or monochrome) (PSA-ND)
  4. Colour Projected Images  (PSA-PID-C)
  5. Nature Projected Images (colour or monochrome) (PSA-ND)
  6. Photo Travel Projected Images (Colour or monochrome) (PSA-PTD)

Each entrant may enter a maximum of four prints or electronic images in each section.

Monochrome images may be entered in the PID colour section. Entrants are reminded that monochrome images entered in a PID colour section only count towards PID Colour Class stars, not Monochrome Class stars.

The same or substantially the same image cannot be entered in more than one section of this exhibition regardless of image titles. Colour and monochrome images produced from the same image capture are considered the same image for this rule.

Images accepted in previous Maitland salons, or images considered by the organising committee to be substantially the same, are ineligible for entry in any of the sections.

There are no restrictions on the subject matter of images except as outlined in the definitions for Nature and Monochrome sections.

Entries in Nature sections must comply with the Nature or Wildlife definitions.

Wildlife Awards: To be eligible for these awards the entry must comply with the Wildlife definition and the entry must be marked with a ‘W’ in the online entry system.

Entries in the Photo Travel section must comply with the Photo Travel definition.
