The Salon has 6 sections: 2 Print sections and 4 Digital sections.
Colour Prints (PSA-PPDC Large Prints)
Monochrome Prints (PSA-PPDM Large Prints)
Digital Sections

Nature Digital (colour or monochrome) (PSA-ND)

Each entrant may enter a maximum of four prints and/or images in each section.
The same or substantially the same image cannot be entered in more than one section of this exhibition regardless of image titles. Colour and monochrome images produced from the same image capture are considered the same image for this rule.
Images accepted in previous Maitland salons, or images considered by the organising committee to be substantially the same, are ineligible for entry in any of the sections.
Entries in Nature sections must comply with the Nature definition.
Monochrome images may NOT be entered in the Colour Open (PIDC) section.
Monochrome images entered in the Nature and Photo Travel sections must be greyscale (toned images will not be accepted).
Nudity: Due to social sensitivities, images containing nudes will not be accepted into this salon.

All entry fees are in USD. Four images may be entered in each section. Fees are payable via PayPal – credit and debit cards can be used.

GROUP ENTRIES
Group entry discounts are:
Group of 10 – 19 entrants is eligible for a 10% discount
Group of 20 or more is eligible for a 15% discount.
Group leaders are encouraged to create a group by following the entry process and selecting group payments.
Group Leaders will be required to click on the Create Payment Group tab.
Members of a group will then join the group by using the ACCESS CODE that their group leader was allocated by using the process above and clicking on click to join group tab.
Each entrant must complete a separate ONLINE entry. Print entries may be submitted as a group but the package must contain copies of the individual entry confirmation for each entrant.

Conditions of Entry

Please review this document to see the conditions of entry for this exhibition. It is compliant with FIAP, GPU and PSA’s requirements.
By submitting images to this exhibition in either print or digital form I agree to accept without exception or objection the following terms:
To ensure that images comply with the Conditions of Entry, including all relevant definitions, the exhibition organisers may ask me to provide originally captured images, with EXIF data intact, by a specified deadline.
If I do not supply the requested image(s) in the specified time those images will be deemed to be in breach of the Conditions of Entry.
Images that are submitted as requested may be investigated by any means determined appropriate by the exhibition organisers to establish if the image(s) comply with the Conditions of Entry.
Images that are deemed by the exhibition organisers to breach the Conditions of Entry will be removed from the exhibition. Any acceptances or awards allocated to those images will become void.
The exhibition organizers will provide APS with details of all breaches of the Conditions of Entry. APS retains the right to impose sanctions on entrants deemed to have repeatedly breached the Conditions of Entry of any APS Approved exhibition.
By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own (aliases are not permitted).
By submitting an entry, the entrant certifies that in the process of capturing the image the entrant did not violate any of the standards of ethical practice of FIAP, PSA, GPU or APS.
Titles must use the English alphabet and can contain no more than 35 characters (including spaces). Image titles may be in a foreign language, but the English alphabet must be used.
The titles of prints and digital images should be exactly as you want them to appear in the catalogue.
The title on the backs of the prints must match the titles on the Entry Form.
No title or identification of the maker shall be visible anywhere on the face of an image or print mount.
Titles will not be announced at judging.
Entrants automatically agree to these terms by the act of entering the Exhibition.

John is a well known photographer and is also a self-publisher of outdoor walking guides. He has exhibited extensively with acceptances in more than 100 countries and judged numerous exhibitions. He enjoys travelling to experience the culture and also explore wilderness areas all over the world. Photographic interests cover a wide range of genres with particular interest in landscapes, travel, nature and journalism.
Helen Walker MPSA2 (Australia)
Helen is a recognised artist and an experienced national and international photography judge.
She is a passionate nature photographer with strong interests in monochrome and creative photography. Having travelled extensively, she believes the key to great photography is the ability to capture that decisive moment in wonderful distinctive light. Helen enjoys the creative outlet that photography allows and when judging, she looks for the personal vision that each photographer brings to their work.
Margaret O'Grady GMAPS EFIAP/s SAPS (Australia)
I'm a passionate amateur photographer who lives and works in South East Queensland. I've been interested in photography for most of my life and joined the Ipswich Photographic Society in 2004 after completing a short photography course at TAFE. I am an active member of the Australian Photographic Society and held the position of President from 2020 to 2022.
I’m an accredited judge with the Queensland Photographic Society and have extensive experience in judging a wide range of topics in club, National and International Exhibitions. I enjoy all types of judging and love to appreciate other photographer’s images.
I compete in National and International competitions on a regular bases and have earned my EFIAP/s and GMAPS honours.
I particularly enjoy outdoor photography including sports and wildlife. I was contracted to join the team photographing the Asia Pacific Master Games on the Gold Coast, Australia in 2010, 2012,2014 and 2016. I also enjoy photographing events such as dog agility trials and photograph these events from time to time. In my spare time I spend many hours in wetland and coastal regions photographing birds and other nature subjects.
Rick Cloran Hon PSA GMPSA (USA)
Rick is a well-known judge and lecturer having served in those capacities extensively in New England as well as throughout the US and Canada. He has been a member of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association since 1975.
For his service to photography both in New England and at a national level he has been awarded the Honor of HonFPSA by the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and HonNEC by the New England Camera Club Council (NECCC). His success in exhibitions has earned him the GMPSA distinction.
Craig’s interest in photography became more serious when he joined a local Camera Club in 2008 to learn and improve his photography. He began entering Australian National Salons in 2009 and International Salons in 2010.
A member of Australian Photographic Society since 2009 Craig received the skill-based honours of APSEM/b and EFAIP/g through the exhibition system.
As a member of the Photographic Society of America Craig has gained the honour of Grand Master (GMPSA) in 2023 and the Bronze Portfolio Honour (BPSA) in 2018.
Craig enjoys travelling specifically for Nature photography with trips to Antarctica in 2010 and 2011, Svalbard in the Arctic in 2013 for Polar Bears and month-long wildlife photography trips to South Africa in 2015 and 2018.
Craig regularly judges at Club, National and International levels.
Elizabeth Passuello APSA EPSA EFIAP APSEM (New Zealand)
Elizabeth has been involved in photography since the mid-1980s. She is a Life Member and Patron of the Greymouth Photography Club, located on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island. For her services to photography, she was the recipient of a PSA Service Award in 2020, and in 2023 was elected an Associate of the Photographic Society of America (APSA).
Elizabeth has been entering photographic exhibitions both in New Zealand and internationally for many years, from which she has won numerous awards. Since 1995 she has been an accredited judge of the Photographic Society of New Zealand, judging from club level through to national and international exhibitions.
In 1999 Elizabeth was awarded a Fellowship of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (FPSNZ), and in 2010 a Fellowship of the Nature Photography Society of New Zealand (FNPSNZ). Through her success in the exhibitions, she earned an Excellence distinction from the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (EFIAP) in 2009, an Excellence distinction from the Photographic Society of America (EPSA) in 2019, the Australian Photographic Society Exhibitor’s Medal (APSEM) in 2023, and her first Crown distinction from the Global Photographic Union (GPU CR1) in 2024.
Joseph Tam GMPSA EFIAP/d3 APSEM (Australia)
Joe started to participate in international salon competitions from 2010 and is now an accomplished international exhibitor. Joe’s major areas of interest in photography includes sports, travel, photojournalism and landscape.
To date, Joe has been awarded over 13,710 acceptances and has won 1,800 awards from international exhibitions over 70 countries. This includes 53 FIAP Blue Pins for “Best Author”, 100 PSA Gold medals, 75 FIAP Gold medals and 1,640 other awards.
Joe has ranked 12 times in the world top ten lists of PSA’s Who’s Who in Photography in 4 different categories across 4 years. This includes a second place in 2012, first place in 2013 and 2014, and seventh place in 2016.
Academically, Joe completed his MBA with Deakin University in 2000. On his photographic accreditations, Joe has obtained his distinction of APSEM/bronze from the Australian Photographic Society (Australia), EFIAP/diamond 3 from FIAP (Europe) in 2020 and GMPSA from PSA (USA) in 2016 and the Gold Portfolio (GPSA) Honor in 2020.
Additionally, Joe has acquired other international photographic distinctions of Crown 5, VIP-5 and the Zeus title from Global Photographers Union (GPU); BP.ICS, GM.ICS, ICS/Safiiri from ICS and SFWIEP from Wilmington International.
Joe has been appointed as verifying officer by APS since June 2016 to verify APS and FIAP distinction applications received from all Australian applicants.
Barbara Jenkin EFIAP/d3 ARPS GMPSA/p SPSA (England)
I have been involved in photography for many years, but when I retired in 2007 I began to take my photography more seriously and began the pursuit of honours. I enjoy most genres of photography, I particularly enjoy portraiture and fine art nude, photographing buildings and natural history and am currently focusing on making abstract and creative images. I thoroughly enjoy post-production work on the computer where photography and art overlap and fuse together
My whole philosophy regarding my photography is ‘Seek Inspiration – learn – develop and evolve – inspire others’
Liz Hardley GMAPS EFIAP/p EPSA FPSNZ (New Zealand)
Liz was born in the North West of England. She began taking photographs in the 1980s, and joined the Hawarden Camera Club in North Wales, particularly enjoying the camaraderie and competitions. She spent many happy hours in her darkroom, mainly printing black and white images from film negatives. Moving to New Zealand in 1995, photography took a back seat. However, in 2006 her passion was rekindled when she was gifted a digital SLR, a Nikon D70s, and joined the Auckland Photographic Society, where she is currently a Committee member. Already a Licentiate of the UK Royal Photographic Society (LRPS), she achieved her Associateship of the Photographic Society of New Zealand (APSNZ) in 2009, and her Fellowship (FPSNZ) the following year. Over the last few years she has won major awards in and judged national and international salons and competitions. She is the only photographer in New Zealand to hold an EFIAP/g distinction from the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique (FIAP). She also holds an EPSA from the Photographic Society of America (PSA) and is a GMAPS (Grand Master of the Australian Photographic Society). Liz enjoys all genres of photography, but has achieved most success with her sports images. A keen runner herself, she particularly enjoys capturing the emotions of athletes. She now shoots with a mirrorless Nikon z7ii. While continuing to print her own images on Epson digital printers, she confesses to missing the excitement of her darkroom days.

TOTAL of 139 Awards for the Maitland International Salon of Print Photography
FIAP Best Author – FIAP Blue Badge for the best Author of the Exhibition. FIAP will offer to the organisers of the salons with FIAP Patronage a special badge (blue) to be awarded to the best author of the salon i.e. the one who has achieved the highest number of total acceptances of all the sections of the salon added together. In the event of a tie, the salon will irrevocably decide Best Author “taking into consideration eventual attributed awards”.
